Launch of the Tanzania Food Security Bond

Tanzania is entering a crucial decade where food security will significantly impact the nation's socioeconomic and environmental growth. Despite notable advancements in agricultural productivity, critical challenges continue to affect Tanzania's capacity to guarantee consistent availability, access, and nutritious food across all regions. These challenges include fluctuating weather patterns due to climate change, inadequate storage facilities, and logistical inefficiencies. The Tanzanian government has recognized the urgency of addressing these issues comprehensively and has thus authorized the National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) to launch the Food Security Bond.
